I Knew We Wuz Poor: Coming of Age on an Arkansas Farm in the Great Depression

Local author and former University of Minnesota professor of Religious Studies Dr. Cal Roetzel will discuss his book, I Knew We Wuz Poor: Coming of Age on an Arkansas Farm in the Great Depression, at the University of Minnesota Bookstores at Coffman Memorial Union on Thursday, October 4 at 4:00 p.m.

I Knew We Wuz Poor is a recounting by Dr. Calvin of his own childhood memories. Using stories, original poetry, and sketches, Roetzel gives his account of his developing years in the environment of the Great Depression and WWII.

Roetzel will sign copies of his book following the discussion. This event is free and open to the public.
