The College of Design and the University of Minnesota Bookstores M Tech Computer Store have teamed up to provide students with the technology they need to succeed in the classroom with special academic savings.

Tax Exempt Information

Students admitted to the following academic programs in the College of Design are required to purchase a computer. Programs not listed below do not require a laptop.

  • Pre-Architecture and Architecture (BDA & BS): PC or Mac
  • Pre-Graphic Design: Mac
  • Pre-Product Design: PC or Mac
  • Interior Design (after passing portfolio review): PC or Mac
