The University of Minnesota is proud to present a custom-designed doctor gown tailored exclusively for the University of Minnesota's doctor of philosophy degree holders.
The Minnesota Centenary Ph.D. Gown commemorates the first Ph.D. granted by the University in 1888.

This distinctive gown features comfortable maroon Texalure fabric with black velvet chevrons and front panels accented with gold metallic braid. Also available to purchase as part of the doctoral apparel is an eight-side doctoral tam with a gold metallic bullion tassel.

The Minnesota Centenary Gown is available exclusively at the U of M Bookstores and is hand sewn for each graduate. This item is non-returnable.
